Working with the Franklin Regional Council of Governments (FRCOG), GDFSUEZ/First Light Power Resources, and New England Environmental (NEE), Doucet provided engineering design and associated construction services for a bank stabilization/large woody debris project in the Town of Gill. We specifically assisted the project team on a collective plan to develop woody debris structures.
Services included working with NEE on the location and design of woody debris structures, temporary construction roadway design, sequencing, and construction observation. Doucet and NEE designed LWD techniques to be used as part of Phase III bank stabilization projects. The design and construction techniques used on this LWD demonstration project can be successfully used on future bank restoration projects on the Connecticut River.
